Jeanne Elizabeth Blum was born in Bermuda and has lived all over the world.

Jeanne first owned the Healing Light Therapies Centre in Bermuda from 1989 to 1995, and then Haikuleana Sanctuary from 1996-2005 in Hawaii. She left Maui because the land water, sea water and the air had become too polluted, for varying reasons, including cane burning 277 days a year, and over-use of toxic pesticides in the pineapple and sugar cane industries which have contaminated the ground water supply.

Blum holds degrees in Massage Therapy and Oriental Massage Therapy from San Francisco School of Massage and the Heartwood Institute in northern California, having studied Swedish-Esalen Massage and Jin Shin Do Acupressure and Auricular Therapy. She is also a Medical Intuitive tested and trained by Norman Shealy, MD., a neurosurgeon at Duke and the founder of the American Holistic Medical Association, the Pain Rehabilitation Center at the Shealy Institute in Missouri, and The Holos Institute; and his partner Caroline Myss, Ph.D., also a Medical Intuitive and author of numerous books.

Jeanne works with clients--men, women and children--suffering from addictions, emotional imbalance, migraine headaches, prostate cancer, infertility, tinnitus, hearing loss, and numerous other physical ailments. Her specialty is Auricular Therapy--treating the entire body through the 365 acu-points on each ear. In 1990 she developed a self-help healing method for women, The Forbidden Pregnancy Points System™, which relieves PMS, cramps, overly long periods, endometriosis, infertility, use of the System™ allows a gentle transition into menopause, and the points can also be activated for a contraceptive method or to reverse menopause if so desired; this System™ is now Patented, a first anywhere in the world. To be able to bring on the "period" at will, is perfect for any date-rape victim!

She leads a week-long Women's Empowerment Points Training™ course, based on The Forbidden Pregnancy Points System™, several times a year for very small, personalized groups of women or couples, and is available for general health and Body Piercing or Tattoo consultations.

Her first book, Woman Heal Thyself, was published in 1995 by Charles A. Tuttle in Boston; Element Books in England, Australia and New Zealand in 1996; Selector in Mexico and Central America in 1997 and 1998 in Spanish; and by Falken in Germany in 1998 and again in Germany in 2003 by Luchow.

PERSONAL

My birth set the stage for my life. I was born dead, revived, accidentally overdosed through radiation treatments at six months, and survived smallpox from a vaccination within the first year of my life. By two I had leukaemia. From about ten months old until the age of eleven, I was incested. At three to four I began to study meditation with a Master teacher and have had a healing gift since that time; a gift actually inherited from both grandmothers, one English, one Swedish.

Throughout my life I have undergone countless operations for tumors, cysts, thyroid cancer; survived cholera, a fractured neck, kidney failure, Dengue fever, total paralysis from a scorpion sting for over a day in the jungles of Mexico and I have been addicted to prescription drugs and declared medically dead three times. With each NDE the energy that I was able to generate for healing, changed. It was as if I was pushed to another level. With the third death experience one thing was extremely clear to me, forget any illusions that "we" control anything in life, or death.

Earth is School, we are the pupils and even death does not guarantee graduation. It is my strong belief that we come here as Spiritual beings to experience a body and to grow and learn in the environment we call Earth, that this growing process has been going on for millennia, and maybe some day we will get it right, without destroying everything in our path, and that the key to this quest lies in the heart, in love and in respect for all life: you could say it makes up the "under-painting" for the canvass of my work.

My life has simply made me a more effective therapist to help others with their own healing, and because I have suffered through so much, I seem to provide a safe place for those wishing to talk about, and explore their lives in a judgment-free setting: Woman Heal Thyself gives people permission to be human. Men also read the book, many have said that it helped them understand their wives, girlfriends, their own mood swings and addictions or acting-out when they didn't get their own way, or with panic attacks--men get them too--and depressions or eating disorders. There is also a chapter addressing men's prostate health problems. One man said the book was written in such an understanding, compassionate and nonjudgmental way, that for the first time in his life he found himself weeping because of a very sad childhood, and in finally crying he also found much of his unresolved anger immediately dissipated.

Woman Heal Thyself was my gift to women after creating a healing system through which they can rid themselves of PMS, cramps, endometriosis, increase fertility if needed, bring on the period for contraception, easily transit into menopause, and if desired extend the child bearing years. It's now a Patented System™. I have simplified and demystified Oriental Medicine so that we can understand how we become ill or addicted when our emotions and body energy are out of balance.

MY PERSONAL VISION

Women worldwide need to take back control over their own bodies and therefore heal themselves, so that each of us becomes the totally integrated, powerful, clearly thinking, feeling, source of feminine wisdom that we were designed to be, right from matriarchal times. For change in the world, on every level--politics, civil and women's rights, the environment, health care, the protection of animals, education, the creative arts and business--it is very clear to me that it is the women who must not only put personal and religious differences aside, yet understand how those differences came about in the first place, and band together once and for all as a totally unified mass. I am here to serve and to help humanity heal ourselves and our World.

THE TAO OF PIERCING

The Tao of Piercing was written for the same reason as Woman Heal Thyself, to share what I have learned, in this case with people who desire to have, or have had body piercings and tattoos, so that they can be pierced in the most efficient, accurate and sensible way possible, and so that they can work towards clearing up any existing health problems—as many of my clients have done through piercings-or problems caused by incorrect piercings, or a wrong metal being worn in a hole!

I believe that we are tapping into ancestral DNA cellular memories when we desire a piercing or tattoo. Personally, I was dreaming about the tribal tattoo on my left arm, at a tender age, long before I even knew what a 'tattoo' was. The tattoo I had inked over an eight-year period by Skin Deep Tattoo on Maui, was placed in the ancient Chinese manner for women, the left, Yin side of the body only, and is shamanic in nature. It honours the part of me that was able to survive nearly thirty-six hours of paralysis from a scorpion sting, one hundred and twenty stings by hornets as a young child in the woods of Algonquin Park, Canada, and being lost in a jungle for four days … JEB

This remarkable will to live, laid the basis for her work as a therapist, teacher of her method, and author.

Since 1997 with the removal of her thyroid due to cancer as a result of the original radiation overdose, she has struggled to live. Jeanne falls into the "1% of all thyroidectomy patients who do not properly respond to replacement hormone therapy, and die, three months after surgery..." She attributes the fact that she is still alive to wearing solid gold gemstone earrings in the thyroid points in each ear.
